Embossed Fabric is a textile that has been manipulated through heat or pressure to create patterns or designs that are raised above the fabric surface. This process can be applied to a variety of materials, but the most common variants include embossed velvet, silk, leather and synthetic fabrics like polyester.
Embossing and debossing are the processes of creating either raised or recessed relief images and designs in paper and other materials. An embossed pattern is raised against the background, while a debossed pattern is sunken into the surface of the material but might protrude somewhat on the reverse side.
